This handmade tableware can vary greatly in colour - from brown to deep blue or even with green hues. This is not a manufacturing defect, but a unique property of the material and the way it is made.

The Comporta Collection is made using crackle glaze. This finish is known to show a different intensity of crackle on each item. This crackle is therefore part of the decoration of this collection.

DNA of Bazar Bizar

The faces behind Bazar Bizar are Pascale Pelsmaekers and Eddy Roothaert. While owner Pascale is responsible for the creative side and is also the public 'face' of the label, her husband Eddy takes care of the logistical processes. As world travelers, the couple had seen many sights, but Indonesia felt like coming home. The couple fell in love with the Balinese culture, the traditional craftsmanship and the people, not to mention the boho vibes . That's how they came up with the idea to launch a webshop for unique furniture and original home accessories, made by Balinese housewives. Each item is unique and has its own story, which makes it really special.
